Job summary

Food Journal Sdn Bhd is seeking a pastry-focused team member to assist in all pastries preparation and production arrangement, including basic icing and cake decoration. The role requires finishing and labeling cakes when needed, maintaining high kitchen cleanliness and storage standards, and minimizing waste.

You may be asked to cover shifts, weekends, and public holidays to ensure smooth service. Experience in pastry is an advantage, and a passion for baking is essential.

• Qualifications: Culinary Art (required).
• Pastry experience is advantageous.
• Passion for pastry and baking.
• Pleasant personality, good work attitude, responsible and active.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pastries preparation and production arrangement.
• Perform basic icing and cake decoration.
• Finish and label cakes when required.
• Maintain high cleanliness and food storage standards in the kitchen.
• Minimize kitchen wastage and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Fill in for colleagues to ensure guest service standards.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
