Job summary

Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily food preparation and station readiness in a fast-paced F&B environment. You will handle ingredient prep, storage, cleaning, and ensure food safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have at least SPM or Diploma and 1 year of F&B experience, enjoy teamwork, and can work weekends and shifts. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/Diploma in related field.
• At least have 1 Year experience in same job role in F&B industry.
• Be able to follow directions from the Head chef and be consistent with the food preparation.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/SOP needed for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
• Maintain food safety standards at all times.
• Observe safety precautions when handling equipment.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by Head Chef & Chef De Partie.

Job description

Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.

Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/sop needed for the station daily.

Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.

Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.

To perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.

To always maintain food safety standard.

Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and

observe safety precautions when handling them.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head Chef & Chef De Partie.

Ability to work in a team

Work Requirements: -

Good team player able to work independently.

Able to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
