Job summary

Pure Eats Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a motivated kitchen assistant with at least 1 year of kitchen experience to join our culinary team.

You will assist chefs, help with food preparation, ensure quality and hygiene, manage portions, and maintain a clean, well-organized kitchen. Shifts include weekends and public holidays; culinary certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the kitchen.
• Must have basic knowledge of different cooking techniques, cuisines, food safety, and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Passionate about cooking and willing to learn.
• Able to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Fluency in English and/or Malay is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chefs with food preparation and cooking.
• Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, quality, and presentation are maintained in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
• Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and serving food on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in accordance with the restaurant's guidelines.
• Store ingredients correctly and monitor stock levels.
• Assist with receiving and checking kitchen supplies.
• Support opening, closing, and general kitchen duties.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
