Job summary

ONLY WORLD GROUP is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen operations across Malaysia. You will assist in preparing ingredients, handle basic cooking tasks, and follow recipes from senior chefs to ensure consistent quality.

You will maintain clean, organized workstations, assist in receiving and storing supplies, and report equipment issues. A team-oriented, flexible approach and willingness to learn are essential for shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients (cutting, peeling, marinating, measuring).
• Help in basic cooking tasks such as boiling, frying, grilling, and baking.

Job description

Help in basic cooking tasks such as boiling, frying, grilling, and baking.

Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs.

Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and properly stocked.

Maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues to supervisors.

Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies.

Quality & Safety

Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.

Minimize food wastage and follow portion control guidelines.

Team Support

Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.

Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth service.

Attend training sessions and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
