Job summary

Rentalworks is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst in Selangor with 3–4 years in Finance, FP&A or related fields. You will support financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, and cash-flow management while leveraging AI tools to automate processes and generate insights.

Experience in budgeting, variance analysis and financial modelling, plus strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems, are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Financial Analysis, FP&A, Audit, Banking or Financial Services.
• Big 4 audit or banking experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and preferably Power Query.
• Able to communicate financial findings clearly to management.

Salary: RM5,000 – RM7,000 per month
Experience: 3–4 years
Consideration for Hybrid 1 day a week allow.

We are looking for a commercially minded Finance Analyst with strong analytical and accounting capabilities to support financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, cash-flow management and business decision-making.

Key Requirements

3–4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Financial Analysis, FP&A, Audit, Banking or Financial Services.

Candidates with Big 4 audit or banking experience are strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and preferably Power Query.

Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.

Strong attention to detail while maintaining a commercial understanding of the business.

Able to communicate financial findings clearly to management and translate numbers into actionable insights.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent is an advantage.

AI & Digital Finance

We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable using AI as a finance productivity and analytical tool.

The successful candidate should have practical experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar AI solutions to:

Analyse financial data and identify trends or anomalies.

Improve financial reporting and management analysis.

Automate repetitive finance processes.

Build or improve financial models.

Generate management insights and reporting.

Improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance workflows.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate at least one real example of how they have used AI to improve a finance or accounting process.

We want a Finance Analyst who can look at the numbers, understand what is happening, identify why it is happening, and tell management what needs to be done next.
