Job summary

SmartB Group is seeking a finance professional to support FP&A across a portfolio of clients in a technology-driven environment. You will transform ERP and accounting data into dashboards, financial models, and actionable insights, applying strong financial judgment and analytical thinking.

The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and client storytelling to decision-makers. A CIMA pathway with around two years in finance is preferred, with interest in AI-enabled finance and

Qualifications

• CIMA student, affiliate, or qualified accountant preferred; a relevant accounting or finance background with strong FP&A potential is also considered.
• Around two years in an industry finance or accounting role, ideally covering management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, or analysis.
• SPM Mathematics: Grade A or above. SPM Add Mathematics: Minimum Grade B. Both SPM grade requirements are mandatory.
• A curious problem solver who challenges assumptions and connects financial results to business operations.
• Self-driven, accountable, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple client priorities.
• Able to explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders and build client relationships.
• ERP experience and Excel / financial modeling skills are advantages; interest in AI-enabled finance is important.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A for a portfolio of clients: budgets, forecasts, monthly performance reviews, and management reporting
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts; analyze working capital, receivables, payables, profitability, and key business drivers
• Investigate variances, identify risks and opportunities, and develop clear recommendations for clients and senior advisors
• Turn ERP and accounting data into useful dashboards, financial models, and decision-ready insights; check data quality and explain assumptions
• Join client discussions, clarify business challenges, communicate findings, and follow through on agreed actions
• Use AI and automation to improve reporting; validate outputs, safeguard client data, and apply independent accounting judgment
