Job summary

Ryt Bank is seeking an early-career finance professional to join the Financial Control & Reporting team in Malaysia. You will gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and ERP-driven finance operations from day one.

You will work closely with senior finance leadership on real deliverables, supporting month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and regulatory submissions in a fast-moving, digital banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; audit or banking/fintech background is advantageous.
• Strong grounding in accounting principles.
• Progress towards or interest in pursuing ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A genuine interest in digital banking, fintech, or financial technology.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: support end-to-end close, post journal entries, and assist with financial statements per MFRS.
• Reconciliations: prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable: support AP/AR activities, invoicing, and ageing analysis.
• Regulatory & Compliance: assist with regulatory reporting submissions to Bank Negara Malaysia and audit support.
• Systems & Process Improvement: help maintain ERP-based workflows and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Ad hoc: support cross-functional projects as needed.

We are looking for a driven early-career finance professional to join our Financial Control & Reporting team at Malaysia's first AI-powered licensed digital bank. This is a rare opportunity to build core finance capability from the ground up in a fast-moving, digitally native banking environment — rather than inheriting legacy processes at an established institution.

You will gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and ERP-driven finance operations, working closely with senior finance leadership on real deliverables from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close

• Support the end-to-end month-end and year-end close process, including close calendar tasks and deadlines
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, amortisation, and adjusting entries
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS

Reconciliations

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations across GL accounts, bank accounts, and subledgers
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and variances on a timely basis
• Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciliations in line with audit requirements

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

• Support day-to-day AP functions, including invoice processing, vendor payment runs, and expense reconciliations
• Support AR functions, including billing, receipts allocation, and ageing analysis
• Monitor outstanding AP/AR balances and follow up on discrepancies with relevant stakeholders

Regulatory & Compliance

• Assist with regulatory reporting submissions to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)
• Assist with technical accounting research and documentation under MFRS and BNM guidelines
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits

Systems & Process Improvement

• Assist with the maintenance and continuous improvement of ERP-based finance workflows
• Contribute to automation initiatives aimed at streamlining financial control and reporting processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, and Product teams on finance-related matters
• Support any ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; audit, financial reporting, or banking/fintech background is an advantage
• Strong academic record with a solid grounding in accounting principles
• Progress towards or interest in pursuing a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) is an advantage
