Job summary

H A S ENERGY INDUSTRIAL (M) SDN BHD is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, cost control and contract administration across projects in Malaysia. You will prepare estimates, bills of quantities and commercial documents, while coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 2 years of relevant experience, and possesses strong negotiation and analytical

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role; construction field/M&E is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision from tendering to end process.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Work with project management to ensure contract compliance, cost control and timely delivery.
• Analyze project costs and variances; provide recommendations for cost justification.
• Prepare tender and quotation submissions, quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents.
• Monitor budgets, progress claims, variation orders and payments.
• Coordinate supplier/subcontractor orders, monitor delivery and progress.
• Prepare commercial documents including progress claims and pre/post-tendering reports.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Source new suppliers and contractors.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
