Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a kitchen associate to elevate meals into memorable experiences. You’ll prepare dishes with a signature flair, keep the kitchen organized, manage supplies and minimise waste, while ensuring compliance with local hygiene standards.

This role requires flexibility for night, weekend and holiday shifts, the ability to lift heavy objects, and strong communication with guests and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Strong – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg).
• Literate – good reading, writing and basic maths.
• Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
• Compliant – meet local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, fluency in local language.
• Articulate – warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

• Make each meal a feast for the eyes and taste buds, upholding high standards.
• Own your kitchen – manage supplies and minimise waste.
• Tell your supervisor about any unsafe equipment, low supplies or safety incidents.
• Maintain a safe space by following safety procedures and wearing PPE.
• Be cleaner than clean – meet local cleanliness and hygiene laws.
• Help with washing up and other kitchen duties.
