Job summary

EPS Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide on-site service for CNC machines including installation, commissioning and functional testing. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and component replacement, with a focus on safety and reliability across client sites.

The candidate will read engineering drawings, work with Mandarin and English, and travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CNC machines is required.
• Experience with CNC Milling, Lathe, or Die-Sink EDM.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and service support for CNC machines including installation, maintenance and testing.

Job description

Provide maintenance and service support for CNC machines, including installation, maintenance, inspection and functional testing.

Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on CNC machinery.

Diagnose machine faults and carry out troubleshooting, repair, adjustment and component replacement.

Observe and evaluate corrective maintenance and repair work to ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently.

Conduct machine installation, commissioning, servicing and functional testing according to technical requirements.

Prepare and use the correct tooling, equipment, materials and consumables required for maintenance and service jobs.

Identify the root cause of machine problems and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimise machine downtime.

Maintain proper records of service, maintenance, repair and inspection activities.

Ensure all maintenance and service activities comply with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.

Communicate with customers/site personnel to understand machine issues and provide appropriate technical solutions.

Perform ad hoc maintenance, service and engineering projects as assigned.

CNC Machine Experience

Job Requirements

Relevant hands-on experience with CNC machines is required.

Experience with at least ONE of the following: CNC Milling, CNC Lathe/CNC Turning, or Die-Sink EDM.

Experience in machine maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, installation or commissioning.

Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.

Good command of Mandarin and English is required. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
