Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design CNC jigs and fixtures for precision machining. You will review drawings, collaborate with CNC programmers, and drive fixture improvements to boost productivity and quality.
The role requires a degree in engineering, 3–5 years in CNC environments, and CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/ZW3D). Mandarin being advantageous for client communication.

Design and develop CNC jigs and fixtures to support machining processes (milling, turning, drilling, etc.).
Review product drawings and machining requirements to create suitable fixturing solutions.
Collaborate with CNC programmers and production team to ensure fixtures meet process requirements.
Improve existing jigs and fixtures to enhance productivity, reduce cycle time, and improve quality.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input during new product introduction (NPI).
Support troubleshooting of machining issues related to fixturing and workholding.
Ensure all designs comply with safety, quality, and ergonomic standards.
Prepare technical drawings, BOM, and documentation for fabrication and assembly.
Work with vendors and internal teams for fabrication, modification, and maintenance of fixtures.
Monitor fixture performance and implement preventive maintenance plans.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through design optimization and standardization.
Other adhoc task/project as assigned by superior from time to time."
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in CNC machining / manufacturing environment.
Experience in NPI / product engineering is an added advantage.
Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / ZW3D)
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling
Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
Familiar with fixture design principles (locating, clamping, datum control)
Exposure to CAM / CNC programming is an advantage
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
