Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics Malaysia is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support NPI projects and ongoing production. You will develop programs with CAM software, tune tooling and offsets, and ensure accurate documentation and process control.

Responsibilities include optimizing NC programs, creating jigs/fixtures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in a high-precision environment in Selangor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or related field.
• 2–5 years of CNC programming experience in manufacturing or precision engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CNC programs using CAM software during NPI phase.
• Ensure programs and work instructions are stored and managed in the system.
• Perform complex set-up and configuration for CNC machines, including tooling, offsets and parameter tuning.
• Support production to optimize NC programs.
• Design and implement jigs and fixtures for process control on new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with machinists, technicians, engineers and QA to troubleshoot with lean/continuous improvement focus.
• Improve programming processes and contribute to job requirements.

Job Description

• Prepare CNC program using CAM software during NPI phase.
• Ensure the program and WI of the program is stored and managed properly in the system.
• Perform complex set-up and configuration tasks for CNC machines, including adjust tooling, making machine offsets, and tuning process parameters to achieve maximum performance and precision.
• Support production team in optimizing the NC program.
• Design and implement jig and fixture for process control on new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with other members of the production team, including machinist, technician, engineer and quality control specialist to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise with focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
• Improve programming process and procedure from time to time. help me with the job requirements.

Job Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining processes (milling, turning, or multi-axis machining).
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, UG NX, SolidCAM, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operations.
• Experience in machine setup, tooling selection, offsets adjustment, and parameter optimization.
• Knowledge of jig and fixture design for machining processes.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production timelines.

Other Requirements

• Familiarity with document control systems and work instruction (WI) management.
• Willing to work in a production or shopfloor environment.
