Job summary

InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a proactive Assistant Manager for Club InterContinental operations. You will oversee the rooms division, ensure service quality, and uphold brand standards across guest interactions.

You will manage expenses, review financial results, and drive upsell initiatives from the Front Desk while mentoring the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Self-motivation and leadership are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management/Business Administration.
• 4 years of Front Office/Guest Service experience including management experience.
• Friendly and great knowledge about IHG brand and F&B outlet/ foods.
• Having self-transportation is an advantage.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients and the guests.
• Basic calculation skills are used frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Rooms Division Manager in preparing and maintaining all expenses for the department in line with the budget.
• Review monthly financial results and develop action plans to minimize wastage.
• Actively support the up selling initiatives of the Front Desk with relevant feedback.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all customers and guests in order to exceed their needs.
• Take action to address these needs in order to exceed their expectations.
• Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.
• Champion hotel brand standards.
• Ensure Club InterContinental staff provides guests with prompt service, professional attention and personal recognition.
