Job summary

Grab is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Cloud Platform team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This onsite 24-month contract role develops and maintains backend services and automation that enable engineers to provision and manage cloud resources safely.

You’ll work with Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and AI-assisted tooling with appropriate safeguards. Responsibilities include API design, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containerised apps and on-call participation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and testing production backend services.
• Experience with containers, Git, CI/CD and safe deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for cloud-resource access and lifecycle management.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and decommissioning with proper validation and access controls.
• Build scalable solutions on AWS/Azure using infrastructure-as-code.
• Develop and operate containerised applications and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Write maintainable code and automated tests; participate in design reviews.
• Improve service observability with logs, metrics and alerts.
• Investigate production issues and participate in on-call duties.
• Contribute to AI-assisted infra workflows with safeguards.
