Job summary

Grab is seeking a hands-on DevOps / Platform Engineer who can write code, build platform systems, and automate infrastructure at scale. This role is onsite in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, on a 2 year renewable contract.

You'll work on cloud engineering fundamentals, automation, and tooling, contributing to production code and solving platform problems end-to-end, collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.

Qualifications

2+ years in software or platform engineering roles.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
Strong coding ability in Python or Go; shell scripting is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Strong Unix/Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting.
Experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain platform systems, internal tools, automation, and integrations.
Write clean, maintainable code for APIs, scripts, and automation.
Manage DevOps platforms such as GitLab, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD systems.
Troubleshoot cloud, Linux, CI/CD, and platform issues.
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reliable platform solutions.
Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and delivery speed.
