Job summary

Averis Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks a Cloud Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based network services across AWS and multi-cloud environments. You will work with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience in enterprise networking, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and network security during the group’s cloud transformation journey.

You will assist in configuring VNets/VPCs, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, monitor performance with SolarWinds,

• At least 3–5 years of working exposure in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, configuration, and troubleshooting of cloud networking components (VNets/VPCs, subnets, NSGs, peering).
• Support SD-WAN deployment and management across global sites (mills, offices, distribution centres).
• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds, Datadog, or AWS CloudWatch and elevate incidents as required.
• Assist in configuring VPN tunnels, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Support firewall rule management, ACLs, and network segmentation per cybersecurity policies.
• Document changes and maintain up-to-date network diagrams and inventories.
• Provide Level 1/2 support for network incidents and service requests per ITIL processes.
• Assist in disaster recovery testing and business continuity for network infra.

We are the Global Shared Services Centre for a major client RGE (Royal Golden Eagle), one of the world’s largest resource-based manufacturing groups with diversified business in Pulp and Paper, Palm Oil (upstream & downstream), Viscose Fiber, FMCG, Energy, and other business segments. As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based network services across AWS, or multi-cloud environments. Working alongside senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in enterprise networking, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and network security as the Group accelerates its cloud transformation journey.

• Assist in the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of cloud networking components including Virtual Networks (VNets/VPCs), subnets, route tables, network security groups (NSGs), and peering connections.
• Support SD-WAN deployment and management across global sites including mills, plantations, offices, and distribution centres.
• Monitor network performance and availability using tools such as SolarWinds, Datadog, or AWS CloudWatch, and elevate incidents as required.
• Assist in configuring and managing VPN tunnels (site-to-site and point-to-site), ExpressRoute / Direct Connect circuits, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Support firewall rule management, access control lists (ACLs), and network segmentation in alignment with cybersecurity policies.
• Participate in network change management processes, documenting changes, and maintaining up-to-date network diagrams and asset inventories.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for network-related incidents and service requests, adhering to ITIL-based incident management processes.
• Assist in disaster recovery testing and business continuity exercises related to network infrastructure.
• Stay current with cloud networking technologies, certifications, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cloud infrastructure engineers, security teams, and application teams to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity.
