Job summary

Ikonik Eye Specialist & General Health Centre Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified optometrist to join our clinical team. You will perform vision tests, analyze results, diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases, and provide patient care. The role involves prescribing eyeglasses and medications, performing minor procedures, post-operative care, patient counseling, and contributing to pre- and post-operative analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BSc Optometry recognized by the Malaysian government and registered with the Optical Council (CGPA 3.0+).
• Clinical field experience is an added value.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and interest in clinical optometry.

Responsibilities

• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and medications.
• Perform minor ophthalmic procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative eye care.
• Examine eyes after surgery and assess recovery.

Job Description:

Perform vision tests and analyze results.

Diagnose sight problems, such as near-sightedness or farsightedness, and eye diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetes and other diseases.

Prescribe eyeglasses and medications.

Perform minor procedures.

Provide pre-and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery—for example, examining a patient’s eyes the day after surgery.

Promote eye health by counseling patients.

Provide post‑op analysis.
