Job summary

SkyWorld Development Berhad, based in Kuala Lumpur, seeks an Inspector of Works to conduct regular site inspections, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, monitor progress, and promptly update the Project Team Leader. You will also update project quality using the Inspection App and prepare reports on site conditions.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Building or Civil & Structural Engineering, at least 5 years of project coordination experience in the property sector, IOW

Qualifications

• Diploma in Building or Civil & Structural Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination or similar role in property industry.
• IOW registration with relevant statutory authority preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections for construction works and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and provide timely updates to the Project Team Leader.
• Update project quality using Inspection App.
• Apply BIM clash reports to identify clashes, prepare clash reports, and discuss with Project Team Leader.
• Work closely with contractor on technical coordination meetings.
• Any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Job description

To conduct regular site inspections for the construction works and ensure compliance with the approved drawings and specifications.

To monitor project progress and regularly update to the Project Team Leader in a timely manner.

To update the project quality of works by using Inspection App.

To apply BIM clash report to identify the clashes, prepare clash report for the project and discuss with Project Team Leader.

To work closely with contractor on technical coordination meeting.

Any other duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Building or Civil & Structural Engineering.

At least 5 years of experience in project coordination or similar role in property industry.

Preferred candidates with a Civil & Structure (C&S) background; experience in property development is an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Words, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Power Point).

Registered as an Inspector of Works (IOW) with the relevant statutory authority.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.

Good team player.
