Job summary

AWG Consultancy Sdn Bhd is seeking a Claims Executive to guide clients after incidents, determine coverage, and document claims for successful settlements. The role involves notifying underwriters, monitoring progress, and challenging unfair denials or low settlements on behalf of clients.

You will build relationships with insurance adjusters, underwriters, legal counsel, and TPAs, review claims history for risk trends, and provide proactive risk management recommendations to help lower premium

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Insurance is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling general insurance claims.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking and a team-oriented individual.
• Able to work independently and interact with customers at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to clients right after an incident occurs, advising them on whether a loss is covered and how to document it to ensure a successful claim.
• Manage the notification of claims to underwriters, monitoring progress from submission through final settlement.
• Challenge unfair claim repudiations or low settlement offers from insurance companies on behalf of the client.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, underwriters, legal counsel, and Third-Party Administrators.
• Review client claims history to identify recurring risks or negative trends.
• Utilize data to provide proactive risk management recommendations to clients, helping them lower their overall premium costs.
• Interpret complex policy wordings across multiple lines, including Property & Casualty, Marine Cargo, and specialized Financial Lines (e.g., Cyber, D&O).
• Offer claim support to internal marketing teams.
• Regularly conduct reviews of outstanding claim files.
• Verify and review documents for completeness before submitting to underwriters.

About you
