Job summary

B-Global Tech is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to join its Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru teams. You will review designs, coordinate with internal disciplines and external consultants, and contribute to data centre, industrial and infrastructure projects across the region.

The role offers exposure to design review, technical due diligence, and fast-paced multidisciplinary collaboration, with 3–5 years of relevant experience encouraged and Mandarin proficiency as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with BEM registration; Ir. preferred.
• 3–5 years in engineering consultancy, with design review and project coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; BIM/Revit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review civil and structural calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Check compliance with Malaysian regulations and international codes.
• Coordinate with external C&S consultants and internal disciplines.
• Assist responses to technical queries, RFIs, and design clarifications.
• Prepare concept-level C&S designs, layouts, and technical narratives.
• Support site inspections and QA documentation.

We are seeking motivated and driven engineers to join our Civil & Structural team in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. As part of our multinational and multidisciplinary consultancy, you will work alongside experienced engineers and industry experts, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge data centre, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the region. This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in civil and structural design review, engineering coordination, and technical due diligence, while collaborating closely with internal disciplines, external consultants, and clients. You will gain valuable exposure to complex, mission-critical facilities and contribute to projects from concept development through design review and project execution. Engineers with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. What will be your responsibilities?

• Review civil and structural calculations, drawings, and reports prepared by third-party consultants.
• Assist in checking compliance with project requirements, Malaysian regulations, and applicable international codes (MS EN / Eurocode / BS).
• Coordinate with external C&S consultants and internal disciplines (MEP, BIM, architectural).
• Assist in responses to technical queries, RFIs, and design clarifications.
• Assist in preparing C&S inputs for bid documents, technical proposals, and scope definitions. Support due diligence assessments, including high-level review of existing drawings, reports, and site information.
• Assist in preparing concept-level C&S designs, layouts, and technical narratives (non-detailed design).
• Support preparation of engineering assumptions, design criteria, and risk registers at early project stages.
• Support site inspections and responses to site technical queries when required.
• Maintain proper design review records and documentation in accordance with QA procedures.
• Support submissions to Malaysian authorities and statutory agencies.
• Participate in design audits, risk assessments, and quality reviews.

This is the profile we are looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer. Professional Engineer (Ir.) registration is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy, with exposure to design review and project coordination. Experience in data centre, industrial, or infrastructure projects is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Exposure to BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage to support stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and consultants.
• Fundamental understanding of reinforced concrete (RC), precast, and steel structural systems.
• Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards, including MASMA, UTG, MSIG, JKR Standards, MS EN, Eurocodes, and British Standards (BS).
• Ability to interpret civil and structural drawings and engineering calculations.
• Ability to review and interpret Soil Investigation (SI) and geotechnical reports is an advantage.
• Knowledge of civil and structural analysis software is an advantage.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with proficiency in English.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
