Job summary

Dyntek Marketing Sdn Bhd in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, is hiring a Technical Engineer for a full-time role. You will provide civil and structural engineering technical support, assist design, analysis and documentation, and liaise with clients and contractors to ensure compliant, on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, with 2–3 years of hands-on experience, proficiency in CAD and industry software, and a solid understanding of local codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Professional qualification or registration with engineering bodies (e.g., PEng or IEM) is desirable.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Technical Engineer or in a similar role within civil/structural engineering.
• Proficiency with engineering design software and CAD applications.
• Good knowledge of building codes, standards and regulations in Malaysia.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to undertake site visits and travel as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and expertise for civil and structural engineering projects from conception through to completion.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys and assessments to gather technical data and inform project planning.
• Assist in the design, analysis and specification of structural components and systems using industry-standard software and methodologies.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations and documentation in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and maintained throughout delivery.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential technical challenges, recommending solutions to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Support quality assurance and safety compliance on site, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
