Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and deliver complex projects from concept to completion in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. You will perform structural analyses, geotechnical investigations and produce technical reports while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 6+ years of design and PM experience, and is proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000, ETABS and STAAD.Pro with excellent communication in English,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proven expertise in structural analysis using SAP2000, ETABS or STAAD.Pro.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles including soil mechanics and foundation design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar software.
• Experience in site investigations, feasibility studies and technical reports.
• Knowledge of Malaysia building codes, regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, contractors and regulators.
• Fluency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Experience in managing timelines, budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Perform complex structural analyses and design using advanced software.
• Conduct geotechnical investigations and inform foundation design strategies.
• Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers and other disciplines.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Oversee site investigations, construction supervision and QC measures.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders to secure approvals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and costs.
