Job summary

Accord Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site/Project Engineer in Penang to assist the Construction/Project Manager on daily site activities, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate with subcontractors. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and travel may be required.

The role requires a Building/Civil Engineering degree, strong communication, and proficiency in construction software. Willingness to work overtime and travel is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a site/project engineer.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with innovative thinking.
• Ability to work under pressure and overtime.
• Willing to travel outstation (own transport preferred).
• Proficient in construction/design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Construction/Project Manager to plan, monitor and control daily site works.
• Implement quality management system instructions.
• Ensure project operations and document control procedures are followed.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities at sites.
• Maintain good housekeeping and implement safety practices.
• Ensure works conform to drawings, specs, and construction plan.
• Ensure inspections and tests per ITPs and QC.
• Submit sample materials and calibration certificates for approval.
• Undertake other duties as instructed.

• To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the quality management system.

• To ensure that project operations and document control procedures are adhered to.

• To plan, coordinate and monitor subcontractor's activities at project sites

• To maintain good house-keeping and implement safety practices

• To ensure that all works carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instructions, etc.

• To ensure that inspection and tests are carried out as per Inspection and Test Plans and that all quality control mechanisms are being used. Results of such to conform to specifications.

• To submit sample materials and calibration certificates to relevant consultants for approval.

• To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
