Job summary

Trabinas Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking an estimator/cost controller to carry out measurement, prepare cost estimates, and take-off quantities from drawings. The role involves sourcing quotations, cost control, and post‑contract administration, with responsibilities spanning bills of quantities and tender submissions.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree/diploma, has 2–3 years of experience, is proficient in Word and Excel, and can work independently with good English language

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience
• Able to literate with Word & Excel
• Positive and willing to work hard
• Language required: English
• Able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Carry out measurement and take-off quantities from drawings and prepare cost estimate.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers/sub-contractors and update building cost data bank.
• Assist in cost control analysis, method statements, procedures, programs and project cash flow forecast.
• Prepare progress claims and valuation of work done.
• Prepare internal certification of work and material supplied by sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities.
• Prepare tender submissions including necessary attachments.
• Negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers and recommend award or purchase.
• Post contract administration.
• Cost control and analysis
• Prepare the contract budget.
