Job summary

Behn Meyer Agricare (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead projects across Malaysia, from planning through completion. The role collaborates with contractors, consultants and internal teams to deliver buildings and infrastructure improvements.

You will manage budget, schedules, and safety compliance while ensuring quality across diverse civil engineering works and site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil/structure projects.
• Experience in contractor management, tendering, and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, drainage, roads, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Understanding of SHE requirements and statutory regulations.
• Good project management, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Civil Engineer - Projects & Infrastructure

Join Behn Meyer Agricare (M) Sdn. Bhd. as a Civil Engineer – Projects & Infrastructure and be part of a team responsible for managing a diverse range of civil engineering, construction, renovation, upgrading and infrastructure projects across our operations in Malaysia. This is a hands-on and varied engineering role where you will work closely with contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver projects from planning through to completion. You will also be involved in the upkeep and improvement of our buildings and infrastructure, giving you broader exposure beyond traditional project work.

Key responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and manage civil engineering and construction projects from initial planning through to completion and handover

Manage building construction, renovation, upgrading and improvement works

Prepare project scopes, specifications, cost estimates, budgets and schedules

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and relevant authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and according to specifications

Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress, workmanship, materials and quality

Review drawings, technical specifications, work methods and contractor submissions

Manage contractors, including tendering, quotation evaluation, contract administration and performance monitoring

Identify and resolve technical, construction and site-related issues

Oversee maintenance and improvement works involving buildings, civil structures, drainage, roofing, external areas and other infrastructure

Monitor project expenditure and support effective budget and cost management

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Civil Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Building Works or Infrastructure

Strong experience in managing construction and civil engineering projects

Experience in contractor management, tendering, quotation evaluation and contract administration

Good knowledge of building construction, structural works, drainage, roads, roofing and infrastructure maintenance

Good understanding of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements and relevant statutory regulations

Strong project management, coordination and problem-solving skills

Good commercial awareness with experience in project budgeting, cost control and expenditure monitoring

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
