Job summary

Giant Leap Construction Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Civil & Architectural Engineer (Technical) to lead the development and review of project technical solutions, ensure design feasibility, and maintain compliance with codes. You will review drawings, propose improvements, and provide on-site technical guidance during construction.

You will coordinate with design firms, contractors, and clients, build and train the technical team, organize project documents, and contribute to tender

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and review of project technical solutions and provide engineering feasibility recommendations.
• Coordinate technical communication among design firms, contractors, and clients.
• Drawing Review & Optimization
• Review construction drawings and propose improvements to avoid design mistakes.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and national/industry codes.
• Provide technical guidance on-site and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Follow up on technical briefings and process optimizations.
• Develop and update internal technical management systems, construction methods, and quality manuals.
• Promote construction standardization and technical innovation.
• Team Management & Training
• Build and manage the technical team, assign tasks and conduct performance evaluations.
• Conduct training for technical staff to improve skills and capabilities.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Organize technical documents such as project records, design changes, and site reports.
• Prepare regular reports and participate in project meetings.
• Cross-Department Coordination
• Coordinate with procurement, commercial, construction, quality, and safety departments to resolve technical matters.
• Contribute to technical proposal preparation and evaluation during tendering phase.
