Job summary

VED Engineers Sdn Bhd seeks a Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team in Kota Damansara or Puchong. The role focuses on design, analysis and implementation of civil and structural projects, ensuring safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2–5 years of post‑graduation civil/structural design and analysis experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, PROTA, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or similar.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards and regulations.
• Competency in AutoCAD and other design software for drawings.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good English and Malay communication; Mandarin is a plus.
• Fresh graduates and junior level may apply for entry positions.

About the role

VED Engineers Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Civil and Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Kota Damansara or Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects. As a Civil and Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions that meet technical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. This role is essential to our company's mission of delivering high-quality engineering services and contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

Design and analyse structural systems using advanced engineering software and industry-standard tools

Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for civil and structural projects

Conduct site inspections and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and constraints

Perform structural calculations and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved

Attend client-consultant meetings, site meetings, and coordination meetings.

Monitor construction progress on-site and provide technical support during implementation phases

Identify and resolve engineering challenges and design issues during project execution

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution

Minimum 2-5 years of post-graduation experience in civil and structural engineering design and analysis

Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, PROTA, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar tools

Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to construction projects

Competency in AutoCAD and other design software for preparing technical drawings

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Effective communication skills in English and Malay (both written and verbal), Mandarin is an added advantage.

Preferred experience in projects such as building construction, infrastructure, or civil works

Fresh graduates and Junior level are encouraged to apply for entry-level positions.
