Job summary

A Project Engineer is required for a 12-month contractual role in our chocolate and confectionery plant. You will plan, execute, and oversee CAPEX projects, including equipment upgrades, line expansions, and utility installations to optimize processes while meeting food safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with chocolate manufacturing equipment and a strong grasp of GMP, HACCP, Halal, and DOSH/DOE regulations.

Qualifications

3–5 years of proven project engineering experience in food manufacturing.
Experience in confectionery or chocolate processing lines.
Hands-on familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD) and project tools (MS Project).
Strong understanding of chocolate/confectionery processing (tempering curves, crystal structure stability, moisture control).
Reading P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and execute plant CAPEX projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
Monitor project timelines, progress, and budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery.
Prepare clear technical specifications, scope of work, and tender documentation for contractors and equipment vendors.
Manage installation, integration, and continuous improvement of chocolate processing machinery.
Oversee critical utility systems relevant to chocolate production.
