Hyatt Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Chief Baker to oversee all bakery production, ensuring consistency with Hyatt brand standards and guest expectations. You will lead the bakery team, develop creative pastry concepts, and work closely with F&B outlets and events to deliver high-quality creations.

The role requires 2+ years of experience in a top-tier hotel bakery, with strong leadership and organizational skills to drive production efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Competenze

• Apprenticeship or professional diploma in Food Production with pastry/bakery specialization.
• Minimum 2 years' work experience as Chief Baker or Sous Chef in an international luxury hotel brand.
• Malaysian citizen or Permanent Resident of Malaysia due to work permit restrictions.

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations. The Chief Baker is responsible to function as the Production Manager for all bakery products, contributing to the overall success of outlets and events, in accordance with the hotel's standards and financial goals.

Requirements

• Ideally with an apprenticeship or professional diploma in Food Production with pastry / bakery specialization.
• Minimum 2 years' work experience as Chief Baker or Sous Chef in an international luxury hotel brand.
• Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity are a must.
