Job summary

MY NAFCO PRECISION SDN. BHD. is seeking a Chemical Operator to run plating and chemical treatment processes, ensuring products meet high quality, safety, and customer standards.

The role supports production activities, process control, and compliance with aerospace and manufacturing specifications. The operator will monitor process parameters, prepare parts, perform bath maintenance, and participate in trials while aligning with 5S, safety, and quality procedures in a precision manufacturing

Job description

The Chemical Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining plating and chemical treatment processes to ensure products meet quality, safety, and customer requirements. The role supports production activities, process control, and compliance with aerospace and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

Operate plating and surface treatment equipment according to established procedures.

Prepare, load, and unload production parts for plating processes.

Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pH, chemical concentration, and plating time.

Perform routine chemical additions and bath maintenance as instructed.

Ensure products meet specified coating thickness, appearance, and quality requirements.

Process Monitoring

Record production and process data accurately.

Conduct basic process checks and inspections.

Report abnormal process conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.

Assist in process trials and improvement activities.

Quality Control

Follow work instructions, control plans, and quality procedures.

Support inspection activities, including coating thickness measurements and visual inspections.

Maintain traceability and production records.

Comply with AS9100, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

Handle chemicals safely and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Support waste segregation and chemical disposal procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.

Equipment Maintenance

Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

Report equipment malfunctions and support troubleshooting activities.

Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

Qualifications

Education

SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Chemical Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience in electroplating, anodizing, chemical processing, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety practices.

Ability to read and follow work instructions and operating procedures.

Basic knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to work shifts when required.

Knowledge of Zinc Nickel plating or surface treatment processes.

Familiarity with aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.

Understanding of 5S, continuous improvement, and quality awareness.
