Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Chemist/Process Engineer to manage special process production lines and ensure quality, productivity, and timely delivery across cleaning, anodization, metal treatment, masking, and inspection steps.

You will support NPI/DFMA, monitor chemical parameters, lead root-cause analyses, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining robust process documentation and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• Proven similar work experience as a Chemist or chemical engineer.
• Hands-on experience coordinating multiple production lines for smooth operations.
• Adequate knowledge of people and task management.
• Proven ability to maintain all chemistry parameters of various special processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage special process production lines to meet quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
• Develop and optimize precision cleaning, anodization, metal treatment, masking, contamination control, and inspection processes.
• Oversee masking activities to protect critical surfaces during chemical processing.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), feasibility studies, and DFMA.
• Monitor and maintain chemical process parameters within specifications for consistent quality.
• Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation including FMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
• Analyze production and quality data using statistical tools to improve process capability and reduce costs.
• Support customer audits and ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Oversee wastewater treatment, DI water plant operations, and ensure safe chemical handling and environmental compliance.

Oversee wastewater treatment, DI water plant operations, and ensure safe chemical handling and environmental compliance.

Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
