LB ADVANCED MATERIAL ASIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Chemical Equipment Engineer to support safe, reliable operation of plant equipment throughout its lifecycle in a titanium dioxide manufacturing environment.
You will manage static/rotating equipment, review technical documents, and drive preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and plant improvement projects with a hands-on, teamwork-focused mindset.

We are looking for an experienced Chemical Equipment Engineer to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment throughout its lifecycle. The role covers equipment specification, installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, mechanical integrity and continuous improvement in a titanium dioxide manufacturing environment.
Manage assigned static and rotating equipment, including vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, filters, pumps, agitators, blowers, compressors and related plant systems.
Prepare or review equipment specifications, datasheets, drawings, technical documents and vendor proposals.
Support equipment procurement, installation, alignment, testing, commissioning, handover and warranty follow-up.
Develop and improve preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance plans for critical equipment.
Troubleshoot breakdowns and recurring equipment problems, conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
Plan and supervise repairs, overhauls, shutdown work, contractors, spare parts and equipment improvement projects.
Coordinate applicable DOSH registration, inspection, certification and mechanical-integrity documentation with authorised or competent parties.
Maintain accurate equipment records, drawings, manuals, maintenance history and CMMS/ERP data.
Ensure engineering work complies with site EHS requirements, permit-to-work, LOTO, management of change and applicable standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Equipment & Machinery Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant equipment, mechanical, maintenance or project engineering experience in chemical/process manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with static and rotating equipment, piping interfaces, installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience in chemical, pigment, mineral, petrochemical, oleochemical or other continuous-process manufacturing is preferred; TiO₂ experience is an advantage.
Working knowledge of Malaysian DOSH requirements for applicable plant and equipment.
Able to read P&IDs, equipment datasheets and engineering drawings; CMMS/ERP and Microsoft Office proficiency required.
Knowledge of reliability tools, corrosion/materials, welding/NDT or condition monitoring is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills, with willingness to work hands-on in a plant environment and support urgent equipment issues when required.
