Platinum Phase Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Chargeman BO 11kV to supervise and operate the 11kV HT electrical system, including switchgear, transformers, and standby generators.

The role requires ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable power distribution within a manufacturing setting. The candidate should have 3–5 years of industrial electrical installation experience, be registered or eligible for Chargeman BO, and be able to coordinate with external contractors for

Responsabilidades

• Take charge of safe operation and supervision of 11kV HT electrical system including switchgear, transformers and panels.
• Operate and test standby generators; maintain them in safe, operational condition.
• Inspect HT switchgear, transformers, panels and related installations regularly.
• Perform monthly inspections and site checks of the 11kV system.
• Monitor transformer oil, silica gel/breather, temperature and loading.
• Review monthly electrical reports for abnormalities and risks.
• Prepare inspection, testing and maintenance records and documentation.
• Coordinate with external contractors for inspection, testing and repair.

This role involves taking charge of the safe operation and supervision of the company's 11kV High Voltage (HT) electrical system, including 11kV switchgear and switchboards, transformers, HT/LT electrical panels, standby generators, and related electrical protection and distribution systems.

Key responsibilities

Hold the required Chargeman BO 11kV competency certification and be registered with the relevant authorities/customer installation, where required

Operate and carry out routine testing of standby generators and ensure they are maintained in safe and operational condition

Conduct regular inspection and monitoring of HT switchgear, transformers, electrical panels and other electrical installations

Perform scheduled monthly inspection/site checks of the 11kV electrical system and related installations

Monitor the condition of transformers, including transformer oil, silica gel/breather condition, temperature and other relevant indicators

Monitor and record power loading, demand and load factors of the electrical installation and highlight any abnormal conditions or potential overloading

Review monthly electrical reports and identify any abnormalities, faults, defects or potential risks involving the 11kV system

Prepare and maintain inspection checklists, testing records, maintenance records and other relevant electrical documentation

Coordinate with external electrical contractors, service providers and relevant parties for inspection, testing, servicing and repair of HT/LT electrical equipment

Provide technical advice and recommendations to management and relevant departments regarding electrical system condition, maintenance and improvement

About you

Possess a valid Chargeman BO 11kV Competency Certificate recognised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga

Registered/eligible to be registered as a Chargeman BO for the company's electrical installation

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical installations, preferably with 11kV systems

Practical experience in operating and maintaining 11kV switchgear, transformers, HT/LT panels and standby generators

Good knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems, electrical protection, switching procedures and electrical safety

Able to conduct electrical inspections, identify abnormalities and prepare inspection/maintenance reports

Able to work independently and respond to electrical breakdowns or emergencies when required

Good communication and coordination skills

Willing to work beyond normal working hours / standby when required for emergency electrical issues
