Job summary

BONDIT E & C SDN. BHD. is seeking an HV Electrical Supervisor to oversee the operation, inspection and maintenance of 33kV switchgear, transformers and substations in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia.

You will conduct routine inspections, perform preventive maintenance and coordinate corrective actions for HV equipment. Requirements include a valid Chargeman Certificate (3kV) and 2–5 years of HV experience. Coordinate with contractors, ensure safety compliance, LOTO and permit-to-work procedures,

Qualifications

• Requires valid Chargeman Certificate of Competency (Energy Commission - Suruhanjaya Tenaga) at B4 level for 3kV systems.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in HV electrical environments.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with ST requirements, company procedures and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and maintenance personnel during servicing, testing and shutdowns.

Job description

Supervise the operation, inspection and maintenance of high-voltage electrical installations, including 33kV switchgear, transformers, substations and associated equipment.

Key responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently

Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate corrective maintenance for high-voltage electrical equipment

Monitor the operating conditions of electrical installations and identify any abnormalities, faults or potential hazards

Carry out switching operations on high-voltage equipment in accordance with approved procedures and authorization requirements

Ensure proper implementation of electrical isolation, earthing, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures before maintenance activities

Diagnose electrical faults and coordinate troubleshooting, repair and restoration works

Inspect and monitor transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, cables and other high-voltage components

Ensure electrical protection systems, interlocks and safety devices are inspected and tested according to the maintenance schedule

Maintain accurate records of switching activities, equipment inspections, maintenance work and electrical incidents

Respond to electrical emergencies, equipment breakdowns and power supply interruptions, and coordinate appropriate recovery actions

About you

Possess a valid Chargeman Certificate of Competency issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) - B4 Chargeman 3kV

Minimum 2-5 years of relevant working experience

Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements, company procedures and electrical safety standards

Coordinate with contractors, maintenance personnel and relevant departments during electrical servicing, testing and shutdown activities
