Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Ceramic Technical Assistant/Technician in Skudai, Johor. The role involves preparing samples, performing material analyses, and understanding process variables to support product development.

Candidates fresh from graduation or with 1–2 years’ experience, and with engineering qualifications, are welcome. Mandarin interaction with clients is preferred; local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of experience.
• Must possess at least SPM/Certificate/Vocational/Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Good health and fit to work.
• Mandarin fluency preferred as role involves Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Local travel availability.
• Teamwork, hardworking, responsible, negotiation, honest and able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform technical tasks and material analysis.
• Understand the process and materials specification variables.
• Update database for new formulation and approved formulas.
• Perform lab tests as required.
• Assist Designer and Engineer team for product development.
• Involve with commercial team for trial runs and lab testing at the factory.
• Commute with Designer or Engineer to customer factory daily, if necessary.
