Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for CCTV and Linux systems. You will work on Linux-based environments hosting video surveillance software, diagnose camera hardware, ONVIF devices, and RTSP streams, and help maintain live feeds across IP networks.

The role requires Linux proficiency, strong networking, and clear English communication to assist on-site technicians and customers. An on-call rotation is part of the duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical support experience directly supporting CCTV/video surveillance systems.
• Hands-on Linux OS experience with CLI and log analysis.
• Experience with IP cameras, ONVIF, RTSP, VMS, and PTZ/hardware configurations.
• Solid TCP/IP networking fundamentals and subnetting.
• Strong English communication to explain issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Navigate, configure and troubleshoot Linux environments hosting video surveillance apps.
• Diagnose hardware/firmware, cameras, lenses, and video feeds over IP networks.
• Troubleshoot RTSP streams, routing, subnets, and bandwidth affecting live feeds.
• Manage escalations via phone/chat/email and log network topologies in CRM.
• Participate in after-hours/on-call rotation for critical outages.
