About the role

We are seeking a part-time Cashier to join the team at Rayyan Legacy SDN BHD in Kedah. In this role, you will be the friendly face at our checkout, processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately whilst providing exceptional service. This position is fundamental to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers and ensuring smooth daily operations. As a part-time role, this position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to be a valued member of our retail team.

What you'll be doing

Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer payments accurately and efficiently

Handling cash, card, and other payment methods with precision and maintaining a balanced till at the end of each shift

Greeting customers warmly and providing courteous, helpful service at all times

Scanning products and processing transactions in a timely manner, ensuring customers feel valued

Assisting with bagging and packaging items carefully to prevent damage

Answering customer enquiries about products and pricing

Maintaining a clean and organised checkout area

Following all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Collaborating with team members to support the smooth running of the retail environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar retail customer-facing role is preferred

Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling cash and processing transactions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour

Ability to remain calm and professional, even during busy periods

Reliability and punctuality, with a flexible approach to part-time working

Basic computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new systems, including POS software

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift light items

A positive attitude, customer service orientation, and willingness to support team goals
