EMPAT SEKAWAN seeks a Café Supervisor to oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow, service excellence, food quality, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs and halal policies.
You will manage staff, monitor customer satisfaction, control stock, and ensure safety and hygiene across all areas, including food handling and cashier procedures.
The Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, food quality, cleanliness, staff performance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure the café is properly opened and closed according to SOP.
Monitor the smooth flow of kitchen, bar, and service operations.
Ensure all equipment, facilities, and work areas are in good condition.
Handle operational issues and report major problems to the Café Manager.
2. Staff Management
Allocate staff duties and prepare daily work assignments.
Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new employees.
Ensure staff follow company SOPs, work procedures, and service standards.
Assist the manager in evaluating staff performance.
3. Customer Service
Ensure customers receive friendly, efficient, and professional service.
Monitor customer satisfaction and respond to feedback or complaints.
Resolve customer issues professionally and escalates serious matters to management.
Maintain the café's service standards and brand image.
4. Food & Beverage Quality
Monitor the quality, presentation, portion, and consistency of food and beverages.
Ensure products are prepared according to recipes and company standards.
Monitor food handling, storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
Check stock availability and communicate shortages to the relevant person.
5. Stock & Inventory Control
Monitor daily stock levels and usage.
Assist with stock receiving, checking, storage, and documentation.
Minimize wastage, product damage, and unnecessary usage.
Conduct stock checks and report discrepancies to management.
Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed where applicable.
Monitor cashier and payment procedures.
Ensure accurate handling of cash and other payment methods.
Check daily sales and transaction records.
Report cash discrepancies or irregularities to management.
Support the team in achieving daily and monthly sales targets.
Ensure the café, kitchen, dining area, storage area, and equipment are clean and well maintained.
Ensure staff comply with food safety, hygiene, and occupational safety requirements.
Conduct regular cleanliness checks throughout the shift.
Report maintenance, safety, or hygiene issues immediately.
8. Halal Compliance
Ensure all staff follow the company's halal policies and procedures.
Monitor compliance with halal-related SOPs during receiving, storage, preparation, and service.
Ensure only approved halal ingredients and materials are used.
Report any suspected halal non-compliance to the Halal Executive or management.
Support halal audits, inspections, and documentation when required.
9. Reporting & Administration
Prepare or assist with daily operational reports.
Record incidents, customer complaints, wastage, stock issues, and equipment problems.
Maintain proper records and documentation according to company requirements.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in café, restaurant, F&B, or hospitality operations.
Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and team-oriented.
Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and halal requirements is an advantage.
Good problem-solving and customer service skills.
