Job summary

PH UNI PALM SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Mill Engineer or Senior Engineer to join our team in Gemencheh, Tampin. This full-time role focuses on maintenance of the palm oil mill, ensuring reliable production and efficient operation of plant equipment.

You will oversee daily maintenance activities, develop maintenance plans, support water treatment and EFB evacuation sections, lead the maintenance and electrical teams, and provide technical guidance for project upgrades while ensuring health,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in a mill engineer or senior engineer role.
• Experience in palm oil mill operations is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 2nd grade steam certification is an added advantage.
• Willing to relocate to Gemencheh.
• Familiar with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day maintenance of the palm oil mill, including monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary adjustments.
• Developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure machinery is well-maintained and operating efficiently.
• Ensure Water Treatment Plant (WTP) runs smoothly including reservoir, sand filter, clarifier and water source for quarters area.
• In charge of Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) evacuation section.
• Arrange the Maintenance Breakdown Record (MBR) from issue date to closing date.
• Manage and supervise the maintenance and electrical team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the mill's operations team.
• Participate in planning and execution of projects and equipment upgrades.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mill Engineer or Senior Engineer to join our team for multiple positions at both mills for PH UNI PALM SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Gemencheh, Tampin. As a Mill Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance of our palm oil mill, ensuring the efficient and effective running of our production processes.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the palm oil mill, including monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary adjustments.

Developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure the mill's machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operating at optimal efficiency.

Ensure the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) running smoothly such as reservoir, sand filter, clarifier and water source for quarter's area.

In charge Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) evacuation section.

Arranging the Maintenance Breakdown Record (MBR) from issue date to closing date.

Managing and in charge of the maintenance and electrical team.

Providing technical guidance and support to the mill's operations team.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar mill engineer or senior engineer role, preferably in the private palm oil mill.

Strong technical knowledge of palm oil mill operations, equipment, and maintenance.

Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Has 2nd grade steam cert. is an added advantage.

Training to become competence person in mill operation.

Familiar with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Willing to relocate to Gemencheh.
