Job summary

SINOHYDRO CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD - KOTA KINABALU is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to prepare and review designs, drawings, and technical specifications for buildings and infrastructure. You will coordinate with consultants, sub-contractors and clients to ensure safe, high-quality execution from design to construction.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BEM-registered Graduate Engineer), minimum 3 years in Civil & Structural works, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (recognized by the Board of Engineers Malaysia).
• Registered Graduate Engineer with BEM.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Civil & Structural Works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or others equivalent software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Civil & Structural Design drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, sub-contractors, and clients for drawing approvals and execution.
• Provide technical support during tendering, construction, and commissioning stages.
• Review contractor submissions including method statements, materials, and inspection/testing procedures.
• Support risk assessments and implements corrective actions to maintain safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian codes and local authority requirements.

Job description

The C&S Engineer is responsible for preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications for building and infrastructure projects. Provide technical support throughout project execution and strong coordination with consultants, and clients to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality and structural works.

Prepare and review Civil & Structural Design drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.

Coordinate with consultants, sub-contractors, and clients for drawing approvals execution.

Provide technical support during tendering, construction, and commissioning stages.

Review contractor submissions including method statements, materials, and inspection/testing procedures.

Support risk assessments and implements corrective actions to maintain safety standards.

Ensure compliance with BEM standards, Malaysian codes, and local authority requirements.

Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure quality standards.

Requirements
