Everrise Departmental Store Sdn Bhd in Kuching is seeking a skilled Butcher to cut, debone, grind, weigh, and display meat to customer specifications while providing friendly service. You will maintain temperatures, monitor stock, and ensure accurate PLU codes as you assist customers with selections.

Maintain cleanliness and safety, follow food safety procedures, and help with marinating, packing, and broader meat preparation tasks on the shop floor.

• Prepare, cut, bone, grind, weigh, pack, and display meat according to specifications and customer orders
• Receive, inspect, store, and maintain meat products at required temperatures and quality standards
• Maintain adequate stock levels at the counter and chiller, monitor meat supplies and inventory
• Marinate and pack meat according to standard procedures, ensure correct PLU codes
• Maintain cleanliness of the workplace, equipment, counters, chillers and storage areas
• Follow food safety, write-off and stock handling procedures, and perform other duties assigned by Management

Description du poste

The Butcher is responsible to cut, grind and prepare meats. Clean and maintain tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive. Butcher also responsible for cutting pre-packaged and custom-ordered pieces as well as assisting customers with their meat selections. Along with being well versed in different types and cuts of meats, Butcher must also be adept well in customer service.

Key responsibilities

Prepare, cut, bone, grind, weigh, pack, and display meat according to specifications and customer orders.

Receive, inspect, store, and maintain meat products at the required temperature and quality standards.

Maintain adequate stock levels at the counter and chiller, including monitoring meat supplies and inventory records.

Perform meat marinating and packing according to standard procedures, including ensuring correct PLU codes.

Maintain cleanliness of the workplace, equipment, counters, chillers, and storage areas.

Follow food safety, write-off, and stock handling procedures, and perform other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

1–2 years of relevant experience as a Butcher or in meat preparation.

Skilled in meat preparation, cutting, and deboning.

Good attention to detail and ability to follow customer specifications accurately.

Able to multitask while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.

Good knowledge and awareness of food safety and hygiene practices.
