A technology solutions company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Business Manager for Cloud & Physical Infrastructure. This role involves leading the infrastructure business and managing sales strategies across Malaysia and the Asia Pacific. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of sales experience in IT infrastructure and cloud services, strong negotiation skills, and a proven record in sales achievement. This position requires close collaboration with technical teams and the ability to engage C-level executives to drive business results.
The Business Manager for Physical & Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for leading TalenTec’s infrastructure business across Malaysia and key Asia Pacific markets. This role manages solution strategy, revenue growth, partner development, and end-to-end execution for both physical infrastructure (servers, networking, security appliances, storage systems, backup appliances, etc) and cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, and other relevant cloud technologies).
This role involves solution positioning, customer engagement, drives infrastructure modernization initiatives, cloud migration programs, and managed infrastructure services ensuring TalenTec delivers high-value, secure, and scalable infrastructure services to enterprise and mid-market clients.
Responsibilities
Proactively develop new business opportunities by identifying prospects, generating leads, and driving them through the full sales cycle—from initial engagement to deal closure.
Promote infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and managed services adoption while driving effective cross-sell and upsell across TalenTec’s solution portfolio.
Build, manage, and accurately forecast a strong, qualified sales pipeline across Malaysia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
Convert leads into actual revenue, consistently achieving or surpassing assigned sales, margin, and profitability targets.
Develop cloud migration strategies for customers transitioning from on-premises to cloud. Promote cloud-native workloads, containerization, hybrid architectures, and coordinate sizing, design, and cost-optimized proposals.
Collaborate with technical teams to develop and enhance managed cloud service offerings that support recurring revenue growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with hardware vendors, cloud providers, and distributors. Drive joint go-to-market initiatives, co-selling plans, and partner events while negotiating pricing, deal registrations, and partnership tiers.
Engage potential clients at industry events, conferences, and partner activities to expand business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
Work closely with C-level executives and IT leadership at client organizations to identify business challenges, shape solution strategies, and drive sales outcomes.
Deliver compelling presentations, workshops, and modernization briefings to influence customer decision-making.
Lead proposal development, commercial negotiations, and procurement processes to secure new business contracts.
Requirements
Possess a Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of servers, networking, datacentre architecture, cloud platforms, and backup solutions.
5+ years of sales experience in IT infrastructure and cloud sales, ideally within a regional or multi-country environment.
Proven track record of consistent sales achievement, quota attainment, and deal conversion.
Strong negotiation, presentation, customer management, and consultative selling skills.
Highly motivated, sales-driven, and resilient in a competitive environment.
Experience managing partner ecosystems and multi-tiered reporting structures.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally as business demands.
