• Contribute to curriculum development, planning and implementation of high-quality, industry-relevant curriculum.
• Develop and prepare teaching and learning materials, lecture notes, activities and other academic resources.
• Prepare examination questions, assignments, quizzes, tests and other forms of assessment.
• Participate in administration, moderation and marking of examinations and assessments.
• Monitor and maintain records of students' attendance and academic progress; provide guidance and support.

Job description

IPK College is seeking a dedicated, passionate and suitably qualified Business Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum development, assessment, student development, and continuous academic improvement.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge and expertise in relevant business disciplines and be able to deliver subjects according to their academic qualification, area of specialisation and/or relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures, tutorials and other learning activities for Business programmes as assigned by the Programme Leader.

Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of high-quality and industry-relevant curriculum.

Develop and prepare teaching and learning materials, lecture notes, activities and other academic resources.

Prepare and maintain required academic documents, including Instruction Plan, Reflective Log, Course Assessment Plan and Table of Test Specification (TTS).

Prepare examination questions, assignments, quizzes, tests and other forms of assessment.

Participate in the administration, moderation and marking of examinations and other assessments.

Monitor and maintain accurate records of students' attendance, academic progress and achievement.

Provide appropriate academic guidance, motivation and support to students.

Upload and maintain lecture videos, teaching materials, assignments and other learning resources on Google Classroom and other platforms as required.

Respond to student and management communications through Google Chat and other official communication platforms in a timely manner.

Participate in student admission, orientation/induction programmes and other academic activities.

Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development activities and College events.

Contribute to curriculum review, programme improvement and activities related to MQA compliance and quality assurance.

Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Programme Leader from time to time.

Requirements

For Teaching Diploma in Business Programmes

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field from a recognized institution.

A Master's Degree in Business or related field

Additional Requirements

Candidates who are able to teach International Business-related subjects will be highly advantage

Relevant teaching experience in higher education will be an advantage.

Relevant industry experience will be an advantage, particularly for industry-oriented and practical subjects.

Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of an academic team.

Candidates must be able to teach subjects within their area of academic expertise and/or relevant industry experience.
