Job summary

Comet AG, a Swiss technology group, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst in Malaysia (Penang/Batu Kawan). You will develop Power BI dashboards, own Finance Data & Analytics requirements, and collaborate with Finance, Group Controlling and Data teams to deliver data solutions from SAP and other sources.

Applicants should have a minimum of five years in BI or data analytics, with strong Power BI, Power Query, Databricks (SQL/Python) and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, IS, CS).
• 5+ years in BI, data analytics, or a similar role, ideally in multinational settings.
• Strong technical skills in Power BI, Power Query, Databricks, and SAP.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, data modeling, and analytics.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with business-friendly English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and Power Query solutions for finance reporting and insights.
• Act as Product Owner for Finance Data & Analytics, managing requirements and roadmap initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Group Controlling, and Data teams to build data solutions using Databricks, SAP, and other data sources.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses, automate reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Create user documentation, provide training and support, and drive data analytics-driven change.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and Power Query solutions to support finance reporting and business insights.
• Serve as the Product Owner for Finance Data & Analytics products, managing requirements and driving roadmap initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Group Controlling, and Data teams to build data solutions using Databricks, SAP, and other data sources.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses, automate reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Create user documentation, provide training and support to key users, and drive continuous improvement through data analytics and change management.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong technical expertise in Power BI, Power Query, Databricks (SQL/Python), and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, data modeling, analytics, and project management principles.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a multicultural environment and business‑fluent English.
