Job summary

BonusLink seeks a data-driven BI professional to join a lean team spanning BI, Data Science and Data Engineering, reporting to Head of Data. You will collaborate with a Senior Data Engineer, a BI Engineer, and stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product and Management.

Job description

You'll be joining a lean data team spanning BI, Data Science, and Data Engineering — reporting directly to the Head of Data.

You'll work alongside:

• A Senior Data Engineer who builds our ingestion platform
• A BI Engineer who delivers trusted analytical datasets
• Business stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product and Management

This is a business-facing role where curiosity, analytical thinking and communication are just as important as SQL skills.

We're migrating to a Medallion architecture (Bronze - Silver - Gold) across AWS and GCP:

Our core stack: Dagster (orchestration) - dbt (transformation) - Athena + S3 (AWS query layer) - BigQuery (GCP warehouse) - Redash (BI serving)

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver business insights — Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities and performance drivers across the business.
• Build dashboards and reports — Develop and maintain dashboards, recurring reports and KPI tracking using trusted Gold-layer datasets.
• Partner with stakeholders — Gather reporting requirements from Finance, Marketing, Product and Operations, translating business questions into analytical solutions.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis — Investigate business questions, validate assumptions and communicate findings with clear recommendations.
• Ensure reporting accuracy — Validate reports, investigate discrepancies and work closely with BI Engineering to resolve data issues.
• Document business metrics — Help define KPI definitions, reporting logic and business documentation.
• Promote self-service analytics — Improve reporting usability and empower business users with accessible, reliable insights.
• Communicate effectively — Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, turning data into actionable business recommendations.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Analytics or a related role
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying large datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience translating business requirements into reporting solutions
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with BigQuery, Athena or cloud data warehouses
• Basic Python for analysis or automation
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts
• Familiarity with dbt and modern analytics workflows
• Experience in loyalty, retail, fintech or high-volume transaction environments
• Understanding of experimentation, customer analytics or campaign analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 3+ years of relevant BI or analytics experience
