Job summary

Tune Protect Group is seeking a seasoned BI Leader to drive the BI, Reporting and Dashboard team in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee enterprise reports, dashboards and analytics using Power BI, SAP BO and SAC, aligning KPIs with business goals and promoting data-driven decisions.

You will partner with stakeholders, guide data governance, and strengthen reporting standards while mentoring a small BI team to deliver timely insights and improved user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics or related field.
• 7+ years of BI, Reporting or Analytics experience.
• Minimum 3 years leading BI or Analytics teams.
• Insurance or Financial Services experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI, SAP BO, SAC, or similar BI platforms.
• Ensure reports and dashboards are accurate and meet business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Lead the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects (BO), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or similar BI platforms.
• Ensure reports and dashboards are accurate, reliable, and meet business requirements.
• Support initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, dashboard usability, and user experience.
• Oversee day-to-day reporting operations and resolve reporting-related issues.

Dashboard & Analytics

• Lead the design and development of management and operational dashboards.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and define meaningful KPIs and metrics.
• Translate business needs into actionable insights through effective data visualization and reporting.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data accuracy, and user adoption, recommending improvements where required.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analytical requests from business users and management.

Data Governance & Reporting Standards

• Ensure reporting standards, documentation, and development best practices are followed within the team.
• Maintain and improve data definitions, semantic models, and reporting documentation.
• Promote consistency and accuracy across reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Support report testing, deployment, change management, and release activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business users to understand reporting priorities and deliver solutions that support decision-making.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Application, and other technology teams to support BI initiatives.
• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, user acceptance testing (UAT), and user training where required.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers on BI-related matters.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and mentor a small team of BI Analysts and Dashboard Developers.
• Review team deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
• Assign and prioritize work within the team while balancing business needs and project timelines.
• Support team members' professional development and encourage knowledge sharing.
• Foster a collaborative and continuous improvement mindset within the BI team.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or related discipline.
• 7+ years of Business Intelligence, Reporting or Analytics experience.
• Minimum 3 years leading BI or Analytics teams.
• Insurance or Financial Services experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple priorities
