Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Business Development Manager in the Transportation-Logistic-Freight Forwarding sector. You will lead a sales team to expand in new markets and implement a total logistic sales strategy.

You will coordinate with internal stakeholders to drive growth and prepare quotations on time. The role requires a Diploma or Degree with 5–6 years in logistics/freight forwarding, including freight, warehousing, and international shipping.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field with 5–6 years in logistics/freight forwarding.
• Hands-on experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing and shipping.
• Strong understanding of logistics concepts with value-added propositions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a sales team to explore new markets and implement logistics sales strategy.
• Organize sales activities and work with internal stakeholders to grow sales.
• Develop sales plans to promote services and expand customer base.
• Organize customer visits to promote service packages and prepare quotations promptly.
• Prepare and propose annual revenue budgets to regional and country management.
• Record sales activities in CRM and generate monthly sales reports.

Business Development Manager (Transportation-Logistic-Freight Forwarding)

We are representing our client transportation/logistic/freight forwarding solutions company to look for potential candidate to fill a role as Business Development Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead & manage a team of sales personnel to explore new market & implementation of total logistic sales strategy
• Actively organizing sales activities and work closely with internal stakeholders to develop new initiatives to drive sales growth and support business expansion
• Establish sales business plan to promote and sell services to existing or potential clients which target to expand customer database
• Organize customer visit to promote service packages and propose quotation to customers in a timely manner
• Conduct & propose annual business revenue budget plan to regional & country management
• Update/record all business development/sales activities using CRM on a timely manner
• Monthly business development meeting & generate sales report for analysis to identify business strength & opportunities

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in any field with min 5-6 years of working experience in logistic/freight forwarding industry
• Hands on experience in total logistic, freight forwarding, warehouse, transportation, container haulage, custom clearance & international shipping solutions
• Good understanding of logistics solution concepts and demonstrate solutions with value added propositions offering
• Strong leadership capabilities with effective Interpersonal skills
