Job summary

Chicago Chicken City Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable Business Development Manager to lead franchise expansion and drive partnerships in Malaysia. This in-person role focuses on strategy, negotiation, and scaling our licensee network.

You will identify locations, pitch opportunities, and coordinate with legal, operations, and marketing to ensure smooth store openings. Mandarin language requirement and a track record in F&B franchise are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years in F&B franchise or licensing (preferred)
• Mandarin language proficiency required
• In-person work location in Malaysia
• Experience leading franchise expansion and partnerships

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute franchise expansion and licensing partnerships strategy.
• Drive franchise sales, identify prospects, pitch, negotiate, and close deals.
• Develop and refine franchise packages, pricing, and support models.
• Identify new locations, markets, and expansion opportunities.
• Recruit and onboard prospective franchisees, including proposals and negotiations.
• Conduct due diligence and ensure brand standards; oversee contracts and launches.
• Collaborate with legal, operations, and marketing to support franchisees and launches.

Job description

We focus on franchise development, brand localization, and market expansion, and we are looking for a capable leader to drive our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute business development strategy for Licensee franchise expansion and partnerships
• Drive franchise sales, including identifying prospects, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals
• Develop and refine franchise and licensing packages (pricing, structure, support model)
• Identify new locations, markets, and expansion opportunities
• Proactively identify, engage, and evaluate prospective franchisees. Manage end-to end recruitment, including proposal presentation, business negotiations, and final onboarding.
• Conduct due diligence on franchise candidates, ensure alignment with brand standards, and oversee contract execution and initial store launch processes.
• Work closely with internal teams (legal, operations, marketing, etc.) to support franchisees and ensure a smooth launch process.
