Job description

As a Business Development Coordinator, you will serve as the operational backbone for our fast-growing startup, working directly alongside the Regional Business Development Manager. You will manage daily account operations, facilitate seamless client onboarding, oversee service execution, and handle administrative reporting for a diverse portfolio of international clients across global markets (excluding North Asia).

This is an exceptional entry-level gateway into the global e-commerce and B2B tech industry for a detail oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-agility startup environment.

b) Key Objectives
  • Operational Excellence: Take full ownership of daily account support and execution passed down from the Regional Business Development Manager.
  • Seamless Client Onboarding: Drive platform adoption by conducting live, virtual portal walkthroughs for newly closed clients, demonstrating core features and ensuring smooth user setup.
  • Account Health & Expansion Tracking: Continuously track client activity and spending metrics to flag expansion and upsell opportunities early.
  • Service Quality & Quality Oversight: Ensure rapid issue resolution while maintaining high quality control across all client communications and account deliverables.
c) Candidate Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 1–3 years of experience in account management, client operations, commercial support, or business administration. Prior experience in a fast-growing tech startup, e-commerce company, or regional customer success team is highly advantageous.
  • Ideal Profile & Cultural Fit: We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and patient professional to fill a supporting role for the Regional Business Development Manager. This role requires a client-first mindset paired with strong execution discipline—taking personal pride in accuracy, data integrity, and methodical follow-through. A polished, approachable presence and strong active listening skills will ensure success in this fast-growing startup environment.
  • Quality Assurance & AI Workflow Oversight: Demonstrates strong critical thinking and analytical judgment when utilizing productivity software and AI tools. Ensures that all automated outputs, reports, and communications undergo rigorous manual review to maintain data accuracy, high professional standards, and an authentic human touch before client distribution.
  • Skills & Tools: Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for a global corporate audience. Proficiency in Google Workspace, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and Google Sheets / MS Excel. Comfortable presenting and leading live platform demonstrations over virtual meeting tools.
  • Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Mandarin fluency is a strong advantage, and Dutch or other European languages (handling direct European market communications) are a bonus.
d) Key Responsibilities
1. Account Operations & Client Onboarding
  • Primary Operations Contact: Serve as the client-facing contact for day-to-day operational queries and service execution.
  • Onboarding Workflows: Lead client onboarding workflows for all new accounts closed by the Business Development team.
  • SLA Compliance: Monitor account utilization and platform engagement to guarantee service delivery aligns strictly with agreed SLAs.
2. Reporting & Data Management
  • CRM Maintenance: Maintain accurate account records, log client interactions, and support sales pipeline tracking in Salesforce and designated CRM platforms.
  • Performance Analytics: Prepare weekly account performance, usage metrics, and revenue tracking reports for Business Development team.
  • Health Risk Identification: Proactively identify account health risks, usage drop-offs, or emerging business opportunities.
  • Account Handoff: Work closely with Regional BD leadership to support long-term account development while systematically preparing mature accounts for transition to the Customer Success team.
3. Commercial & Upsell Support
  • Feedback & Expansion: Gather client feedback to spot early expansion and upsell signals.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate across cross-functional internal teams to resolve client requests efficiently.
4. Administrative Coordination
  • Documentation & Invoicing: Manage client contracts, align invoicing details with finance, and handle routine client correspondence.
  • Record Organization: Maintain organized client documentation, meeting notes, and action item logs.
