Job summary

Givaudan in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to grow and manage designated accounts in the fragrance sector. You will build strong client relationships, develop strategic plans, and drive opportunities across the account portfolio.

The role requires handling budgets, pricing, and pipeline management, with a focus on delivering profitable growth and cross-functional coordination. A strategic mindset and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• University Degree (or equivalent) required.
• 7-10 years total experience with 3+ years in similar role in fragrance/business sector.
• Strong ability to build relationships and deliver compelling presentations.

Responsibilities

• Grow business with assigned accounts by managing top and bottom lines.
• Build and maintain internal customer relationships within the account portfolio.
• Monitor activity of customers and competitors and update records.
• Develop strategic account plans with annual budgets and profitability targets.
• Plan and drive account activities, defend existing business and pursue new opportunities.

• Oversee pricing and gross margin management.
• Develop account plans to increase value of fragrance solutions.
• Track market trends to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver internal presentations and reports.

Main Responsibilities

• Grow Givaudan business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines
• Cultivate and manage internal customer relationships within portfolio of accounts
• Monitor customer and competitor activity and maintain customer information
• Contribute to developing the Strategic Account Plan with annual sales budget and profitability objectives and business goals for the category
• Planning and driving account activities including defense of existing business and attacking new opportunities.
• Managing the project pipeline, prioritizing resource and anticipating and preparing for future opportunities.
• Pricing & Gross Profit Margin Management
• Develop and track Account Plans for key accounts , increase the value add of fragrance solutions
• Track market and product developments that can add value to trend sharing with customers that can capture new business opportunities.
• Develop and deliver internal presentations
• Identify/create opportunities for Givaudan to participate in new and existing accounts new projects or new product developments
• Identify internal customer requirements and follow up on agreed strategy
• Coordinate and manage internal resources in support of customer needs and priorities, ensuring the most efficient management of both active and pro-active projects.
• Efficient management of key account projects to ensure good win rates
• Follow KPIs versus targets (Sales, Gross Profit, win rate…) and take corrective actions if necessary
• Manage and resolve customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution
• Comply with all appropriate Givaudan and statutory EHS and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with local library manager to develop and deliver strategy for smaller client groups

Key Requriements

• University Degree (or equivalent)
• 7-10 years overall experience with 3+ years’ functional/technical experience in the industry
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers
• Competence in developing and delivering compelling presentations
• Good Project Management skills and Business Fundamentals (Commercial Skills, General Business Management and Fragrance Business Management)
• Good Communication skills with basic negotiation skills
